Power demand side management is the effective method to solve the power scarce question in our country. This article in the foundation which introduces and summarizes the development and situation of DSM, analyzes the power source structure, economic situation, power consumption structure, the profession electricity situation, characters of year power load and characters of day power load. To make perdition in an effective way, power load forecasting model based on BP neural network is established. And then the applying DSM for southern Hebei power network is studied. At last, the confined mechanism and stimulation policies are proposed through the study of situation of southern Hebei power network and the advanced experience in foreign countries.
