Abstract:

Pumping unit is one of the most important equipment in oil fields. Conventional beam-pumping unit, which is the most popular one, is low in efficiency. AC motor of beam-pumping unit is low in efficiency especially. Statistics show that motor efficiency is too low. How to make it work in high efficiency is a problem we have to solve. It is of great significance in both reduce the cost of oil exploitation and economizing energy resource. This paper solves the problem by advance efficiency of the motor. Switched Reluctance Motor (SRM) has some advantages, such as high starting torque and high efficiency in bad situation, which fit for the pumping machine. Using SRM to replace AC machine can advance the efficiency of the pumping unit evidently. So we can reduce the cost of oil exploitation and save energy.System of Switched Reluctance Driver (SRD) is based on AT89C51. PI control is realized by hardware. The system is reliable. Experimental setup for test is made up of a SRM and a direct current dynamo. Torque and speed is used for figuring out output power. Current and voltage is used for figuring out input power. Then we could get the efficiency of SRM. This system can simulate the actual situation that SRM work on pumping unit in order to validate that SRM can work in high efficiency on pumping unit.
